The YUrt Base Kit Package
Featuring a superior snow and wind-load frame, fully insulated and protected by durable weatherproof covers. Inside, a premium moisture-wicking interior liner enhances comfort, complemented by a carefully crafted structural lattice wall. An expansive 4-foot-wide acrylic dome skylight further floods your yurt with natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Your yurt needs a solid foundation, and there are many ways to build it depending on your budget, climate, and intended use. Whether you prefer a basic platform or a fully finished floor with extra insulation, we’ll provide the specifications you need. Once we understand your order and vision, we’ll share dimensions and key details to help you or your contractor build the right foundation.

Each yurt includes one standard 34" exterior door with venting window. No windows are included by default. If your yurt requires a larger door for accessibility or other reasons, please let us know.
Windows are a great way to bring in natural light and fresh air and are available as an add-on. However, sizes, pricing, and availability may vary. Window sizes range from approximately 1.5 ft (W) x 3 ft (H) to 4 ft x 6 ft.
For reference, the average price per window is $926.00 per unit. Contact us for current options and pricing, as your yurt size determines which window options are available.

We’re happy to assist with planning the yurt aspect of your build. Depending on your intended use and local regulations, some projects may require additional engineering or architectural plans for permits. Site-specific work related to this may come at an additional fee.

Are yurts all-season?
Yes: Our yurts are designed to thrive in any season. With our superior snow and wind kit, high-quality insulation, and durable materials, they provide a comfortable and efficient environment year-round, no matter the weather.
What keeps a yurt comfortable year-round?
We wrap the structure with reflective insulation that efficiently regulates temperature, whether hot or cold. When heated or cooled with the proper climate control systems, your yurt maintains a comfortable, consistent temperature year-round. This makes it an incredibly efficient shelter, regardless of the season.
Do I need a permit for my yurt? How do I get one?
Permit requirements depend on your location, intended use for the yurt, and local regulations. Some areas may require them, others may not. We provide engineered drawings to support your application if required.
Can I install the yurt myself?
Our yurts are designed with a specialized structure tailored to the Canadian climate and require professional installation for optimal performance. We include mandatory installation in the price to ensure safety, durability, and a worry-free setup.
What can i do with a yurt?
Yurts are incredibly versatile! They make great retreats, home offices, guest spaces, creative studios, or even unique recreational rooms for kids. With endless possibilities, a yurt can adapt to suit your lifestyle and needs.
What are my options for windows and doors?
Your options for windows and doors depend on the yurt’s size. Our frames support multiple windows and doors, typically up to eight. (Additional windows and doors are not included in the base price.) Once we’ve determined your yurt size, we can let you know which window and door sizes are available.
What kind of deck or platform do I need for a yurt?
An elevated round platform built to our specifications is essential for your yurt, ensuring proper ventilation and preventing moisture buildup. The platform must be ready before installation. We provide detailed building plan examples to guide you or your contractor.
